Cave Katafygi (Haven) is located at the south side of Diros gulf. It is a beautiful two floor cave, with many corridors leading to chambers linked by narrow passageways. Stalactites and stalagmites and picturesque lakes decorate the interior of the cave, which has great sound quality. At the entrance of the cave there is a wall with turrets which attests, along with its name, that in the past the cave was used as a shelter; during the Turkish occupation and the pirate invasions.
